I gotta let it grow long again first, lol!

In a cartoon I liked there was a character named Asha; The Red Ghost.
She was a badass forest amazon that could disappear without a trace.

Interesting fact, did you know that it is actually incredibly easy to fly through an asteroid field because the asteroids are often hundred or even thousands of kilometers apart.

Actually, you are allowed to take as many liberties with space as you like if you want your story to be exciting. The sad fact is that space is incredibly boring. There is no sound (you can scream like a little girl, no one will laugh), explosions aren't fiery, there is nothing to see unless you are in orbit around something very big and even if you are moving at warp speeds, the stars will shift very VERY slowly, instead of making those cool 'streaks'. The only two films/shows I have ever seen that portrays space accurately is 2001: A Space Odyssey and Firefly/Serenity, and even Firefly broke the mould often. And 2001 did cheat once to prevent it from breaking the Space-Time Continuum with pure boring.

Sorry, bit of an astronomy nut. But hey, Empire is a great film to get inspiration from. Possibly the best Star Wars film I have ever seen.

Yeah, I agree. I love all the space scenes of 2001, the EVA pod moving slow and silently and the breath sound filling the scene. The fast asteroids passing near the ship. The Zero-G design of Discovery Bridge... It´s a real masterpiece of anticipation.

For my ships I like to combine all that with the industrial design from Alien, Outland or Blade Runner. My idea for this story don´t need an entire galaxy to be set in. Just a triple solar system where have appeared two space nations and are battling for the control of various alive worlds. Distances are enough extense for me.
