I hate that movie starscream "crab/gorilla" shape. Even following that "organic scrap" style, his look would have been something like this.

Ultimately, it boils down to that Michael Bay is WRONG for material like Transformers. Like it or not, Optimus Prime occupies the same amount of headspace as Davy Crochett and Robin Hood in previous generations, to quote Movie Bob. Michael Bay is more concerned about making a film that appeals to his own douche-bag sensibilities, instead of something in the same line as other Transformers media. It also completely slays me that the Transformers are constantly being pushed aside for the "wacky college humor" bullshit of Sam Witwicky and his hideous and repulsive girlfriends.
